In his introductory message, President Paul Murray says of the 2016-17 season, "Dixon Park Surf Life Saving Club continues to grow and build a solid foundation for sustainability and development. We can proudly state that ‘no lives were lost’ whilst Dixon Park beach was patrolled. The season has been very successful and rewarding for the Club in all dimensions; culture, lifesaving, education, nippers, surf sports, functions, administration, finance, community and socially."
